Applying for a Disability Tax Credit
People on Insulin Pumps or using multiple daily injections can apply to Revenue Canada for a Tax credit. The criteria for the application and the forms required can be found here...
The primary criteria is: Life sustaining therapy, and a doctor's signature. The key aspect of this is spending at least 14 hours per week managing this therapy. The website information is quite easy to understand.

The Alberta Government implemented a program in June 2013 to provide coverage for insulin pumps, supplies and other eligible items. Insulin Storage Guidelines
Unopened vials or cartridges of insulin should be stored between 2 to 8 °C (preferably in a fridge) and are good for use until the expiry date printed on the package. Unopened vials or cartridges of insulin may be stored at room temperature (between 15-25 °C) for up to 4 weeks. View PDF article...

- Tandem – The T:slim X2 pump is now available in Canada and is the only pump in Canada integrated with the Dexcom G5 CGM.
